The Signboard Calligrapher Greeting Card by Alvin Lam Personal Accessories electronicHandcrafted signs once dominated Hong Kong's entire visual landscape, and at the forefront of keeping that dying tradition alive is calligrapher Au Yeung Cheong. The work of Au Yeung, distinguished by his use of Zan Script, still adorns shopfronts and businesses across town. For nearly 40 years, he worked fastidiously from his bastion in a historical building that was shuttered for redevelopment in late 2020. But that hasn't stopped him. 80402020
