Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse with a central Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, within a square oak leaf wreath, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, flanked on each side by four oak leaves and two acorns, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Friedrich
