Germany, Imperial. A Wound Badge, Gold Grade Auction (Kungliga Svärdsordens)(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a hollow background, the reverse with a crimped and raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 54 mm (w) x 43. 63 mm (h), weighing 8. 0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
