Vintage 1940s French Wicker Pilgrim Flask Carafes & Decanters Made from purple willow itA 1940s French pilgrim flask with a glass bottle enclosed in a hand woven wicker case and finished with a porcelain swing top closure. Rustic yet beautifully considered, it recalls countryside journeys, market days, and long summer picnics beneath the plane trees of provincial France. The woven vessel lends warmth and texture, transforming a humble utilitarian object into something distinctly poetic.
